Small classes, big thinking

By SACAP

The South Africa College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) is South Africa’s leading provider of accredited qualifications in Applied Psychology, Coaching and Counselling. With individual attention, rigorous academics and practical skills, SACAP aims to have graduates who are well-equipped and confident practitioners, and can make a meaningful transformational difference in the lives of others. The college is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

SACAP is also accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and the college’s Bachelor of Psychology degree is accredited by the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Many of SACAP’s qualifications are available as full-time or part-time options. Students can study with the college online or at four different campuses throughout the country. Most of the college’s qualifications encompass supervised practical placements covering various settings. The educators are acknowledged as leading professionals within their fields, allowing students to benefit from their wealth of skills and experiences.

With their deliberately small classes, SACAP is able to encourage engagement and active participation between students and educators. Experiential and interactive learning is the foundation on which SACAP’s educational philosophy is premised on. The person-centred educational philosophy develops the emotional, practical and intellectual skills that students need to effect change.
