Boost your self-esteem!

Self-esteem has everything to do with the opinion you have about yourself and your abilities. You can experience highs, lows or somewhere in-between. Everyone has doubts about themselves and some people are brave enough to talk about them, which can also help others. However, sometimes, a low self-esteem can leave you feeling insecure and unmotivated.

Either way, if you are wondering how to improve your self-esteem, here are some tips…

  1. Be nice to yourself

The little voice in your head is a lot more powerful that you may think. Make an effort to be kind to yourself and challenge negative thoughts. A good rule is to speak to yourself in the same way you’d speak to your friends or strangers.

  1. You do you, boo!

Comparing yourself to other people does no good for your mental health. Try to focus on your own goals and achievements, rather than measuring them against someone else’s.

  1. Keep it moving

Exercise is a great way to get your blood pumping and increase motivation. Breaking a sweat also releases endorphins!

  1. Nobody is perfect

Always strive to be the best version of yourself than a second best version of someone else!

  1. Mistakes happen

In order to learn and grow, you will make mistakes. Everyone’s been through it, so don’t beat yourself up if you make a few mistakes along the way.

  1. Focus on what you can change

It’s very easy to become distracted with all the things that are out of your control, but it won’t achieve much. Try to focus your energy on identifying the things that are within your control.

  1. Do what makes you happy

If you spend more time doing things that you enjoy, you’re more likely to have a positive mindset. Try to schedule a little ‘me-time’ every day.

  1. Celebrate the small stuff

Small victories are definitely worth celebrating. You got out of bed this morning, celebrate it! Be grateful about everything in your life and celebrating the small wins is a great way to build confidence.

  1. Be a friend

Being a support system for others will certainly make them feel better but it’ll also make you feel good about yourself too.

  1. Surround yourself with a support system

People who make you feel good about yourself are the types of people you want to keep around. Find your tribe and keep them close.
